sex injuries

page updated: 31-Mar-2004

No matter how studly a person may feel when a session of heavy loving has given them a slight limp or a secret bruise, I think that even the most flamboyant lover must start to feel sort of dumb when he or she has gone and thrown his or her back out and can't walk at all, or worse yet - can't handle any more heavy loving. Thus, my gift to the heavy lovers of the world: some little tips for safer sex and the avoidance of boudoir injuries. (For safer sex as it applies to avoiding infection, please try out the condoms page for now).

So yes, it can be sweet to have mementos of my bed partner, to feel a bit of a bruise or a scratch where they have been, or to know that my muscles are tired out from what we've been up to. This is an easy thing to appreciate; teenagers even seem to ignore the supreme tackiness of hickies and find satisfaction in sporting them. It's a bit of an honour to have been bitten in a fit of passion, or sucked on, or what have you, and anything leftover from that can be fun. I don't propose avoiding that kind of surface injury (but honestly, a turtleneck can be much more suave than splotchy neck skin).
