To do in Victoria: sexual health fundraiser
Island Sexual Health Society is throwing a fundraising gala at Camosun College on the evening of Friday, March 9. There will be two excellent speakers addressing HIV/AIDS advocacy, a silent auction and, apparently, desserts!
Tickets are only $15, and all proceeds support clinical services and community education at ISHS, including their accurate sexual health workshops at local high schools, subsidized birth control and morning after pill sales, and all kinds of useful community services.
The speakers are Minneh Kamau Bushby, HIV/AIDS advocate, and Erica Williamson from AIDS Vancouver Island.
